I'm ready to give HCG another go, Casey ordered me some and I will be starting in 1 week. I am really excited! I know it was rough getting started, the detox and all but I can do it! I am glad a I have one round under my belt and kind of know what to expect, and also I know where I went wrong before. Mabye not in the actual diet, because I did really well at that part but this time will be able to do real maintenence and a second round after that with maintenence.
Pros and Cons of Hcg (for me, anyways)
Pros:
I see the progress right away which keeps me motivated
I don't have to spend time cooking and eating
It is healthy and well balanced
I like what I eat
I feel really healthy and super energetic
I sleep amazingly well
Cons: (with attached solution :)
the first 3 days of Detox are HELL- but i have a few doses of phenterine to take the edge off this time
I miss my SODA-I might do a can of DC per day......mabye
I feel a little antisocial because I can't eat like everyone else around- funny, because I feel antisocial anyway because I look like crap and I don't want to eat with people now either :/
I get constipated-Gotta get the tea this time and do a liver cleanse
I miss my yummy lotion and makeup-who cares how moisturized my skin is if its all cottage cheesy??
Yes, I'd say the Pros definetly WIN, no doubt.
So.......just now I had a difficult moment. I've had a REALLY long and emotionally draining day where I hardly sat and I felt all out of sorts, clumsy, you know. As of now I am pretty seriously overworked and really feeling off my game bigtime. Its almost 3 am and my mind won't turn off and I have a MAJORLY long day tomorrow as well. I just ate about half of a leftover cake with no frosting on it. I didn't eat a single thing all day until about 7 pm when my sweet little daughter made me a chicken quesadilla with green sauce. My feet hurt so bad I literally could not stand up. I snacked all day on random hunks of cake scraps and finger fulls of frosting and batter, and had a rockstar at about 3 in the afternoon. I have an annoying headache and I'm all bloated and certainly dehydrated. I feel awful mentally and physically.
What is the point of this whining?? I just think it illustrates that people think that I'm crazy or somehow hurting my body by eating only 500 cals (of whole, solid, nutritional food) a day, when look at what I do to myself anyway? You can't tell me that my pancreas, liver and kidneys aren't hating me right now, not to mention my seratonin levels, my blood sugar, shriveled up intestines and my poor veins with no circulation. Never mind my super tender IT bands that sting if I touch them in about 6 places on my body. I am a total wreck. SO to anyone who thinks I'm crazy, I say, if you think HCG is crazy and unsafe, try my regular diet. Its like the elves 4 basic food groups : Candy, candy corn, candy canes, and syrup. Steak, asparagus, apples and melba toast?? Bring it on!!!

Hi Janel! I'm excited to see you're doing the HCG thing again! Would you mind having someone else doing it along with you? I would really like to give it a try again...last time I tried I lasted 2 days! I need all the help/ideas/food suggestions I can get! I know you did such a fantastic job and would love to follow your great example as before! So let me know what you think about having an "online follower!" I still have my drops from before...otherwise ready...
Thanks!

Hey Glenna, I would love to have another person doing HCG along with me! The key is making it past the first 4 days or so till the cravings leave! I'll be sposting every day on here so you can comment every day or I will check your blog, whichever. I will be starting on this coming Saturday with my drops and the loading phase, and then the low calories on tuesday morning. You can check to see if your HCG is still good by getting a pregnancy test from the dollar store and dropping some on it and it should read positive. It goes bad after 2 months, from what I understand.
